Awareness and culture


To test one’s own olfactory capacity and gather basic fragrance creation knowledge, to enter into the passionate episodes of fragrance history and discover the significant contribution given by Italy in the course of its history, elaborate a personalised growth programme, all requests that will find a reply by:


  • a visit to la Collezione Borsari in Parma: a course dedicated to the history of the Empress Maria-Luigia and the important moments in  art, graphics, costume and fragrances from 1870 to 1950. An olfactory centre has been installed which contains more than two hundred essential oils to illustrate the various phases in fragrance creation. The Collection is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 6 pm with visits by appointment. The Museum is currently being restructured and is not open at the moment. For further information: www.turismo.comune.parma.it;
  • a visit to the Museo del Profumo: The Fragrance Museum, in Milan in Via Messina 55, collects and exhibits important fragrance collections.  With an itinerant exhibition, the Museum offers a panorama of the various Fragrance Houses which have contributed to fragrance history in the 1900s ad a worldwide production of Perfumery for collection.   • the possibility to participate in a in a beginners olfactory workshop with Mouillettes & Co, which gives a concrete approach, using short modules, to the universe of odours and creation, using the Cinquième Sens method;
  • enrollment to the summer stages at GIP-Grasse enables you to discover the history of the perfumery and the basic concepts of creation and to penetrate the genealogy of perfumes. These are meetings reserved for private participation. The same organization proposed weekly sessions dedicated to Natural Fragrances and cosmetic products.
