Innocent evasions

INNOCENT EVASIONS

To play the game…There is a sense of rebellion but also more simply the desire for evasion in this verb used by Shakespeare and sung by Queen and which today still says a lot about the way we are in this civilisation of crisis. And how easy is it to pass from violence and anger to the peacefulness of evasion. Playing together and carrying out sporting activities. Competing to win. But also dancing and, why not, acting and playing a musical instrument. To pretend, act as if it was or as if it wasn’t…joke.

To Play: a whole world of meanings which we find in the many fragrances launched in these recent months each seeking to express our obsession to hear and desire to find the lost pleasure of existence in some far away place. Projections. Emotions. Rock. Pop. Shock. Bang Bang. Sounds become things.

Key places which stand out on flacons destined for him & her and which refer to a kaleidoscope (another password) of situations where it is possible to have fun, relax, be entertained or even more simply let your imagination run wild.

The flacons have shapes which remind us of gymnastic equipment or simply toys, taking us back to games rooms and to childhood and use unbreakable materials with strong resolute colours. The symbols are almost primitive in the immediacy of their interpretation and follow the image of a virile man who practices sport, picks up girls and expresses a rock’n’roll and punk side. Women on the other hand live in a fairytale fantasy land where angels and Prince Charming co-exist. And the flacons borrow scenes from fairytales and soar like crystal towers, enclosing magical potions and host elves …

Evasion is at its height when opening the flacon, when it’s possible to savour the juicy accents of sour fruit, or  the energy of aromatic herbs and the sweet notes of when children used to let us taste their candyfloss or a rewarding cup of hot chocolate. Laughing, joking, playing… playing life: we didn’t know then what kind of surprises life had in store for us.

And now we know, we don’t really care in the least...
