It was in 1958 that Milan Schön changed from being a Dior and Balenciaga client into their competitor, transforming her natural elegance into a profession that would bring her to construct the reality of today. At the beginning there was a small laboratory with just one premièere, Enrica.
The first collection of haute-couture is in Florence at the Palazzo Pitti, in January 1965.
During the 60’s Mila Schön created what was to become one of the fundamental elements of the success and the popularity of the Maison in the whole world: the double fabric.
In 1966 the first Mila Schön boutique was opened in Via Montenapoleone in an old building which was at one time the residence of the poet Carlo Porta, and is today a national monument and company headquarters.
In 1971 the first prêt-a-porter male and female collections were launched, dedicated to a forever demanding public. Soon a complete line of accessories was added – handbags, shoes, ties, scarves, glasses and sunglasses and fragrances.
